Bentley CC
Welcome to Bentley Cricket Club's Play Cricket Site

As a continually developing Cricket Club we are always keen to have new members. We have an existing website which can be found at www.bentleycc.co.uk. That site contains lots of useful details about the club.

The Club has 4 adult Saturday sides and 1 adult Sunday side, as well as a plethora of Colt/Junior sides, several girls' teams and also a newly established Ladies section. Within the Colts section we accommodate children from 5 to 18.

Teams

The 4 adult Saturday sides play League Cricket in the T.Rippon Mid-Essex League. We compete in various divisions of the league so we offer different standards, from beginners to experienced competitive cricketers, so there is a place for players of any ability. The Sunday side plays a mixture of Friendly & Sunday League cricket as well as competing in a National Village Cup competition. The Club prides itself on giving every player their fair share of involvement in each game.

The Ladies side play in the Women's Cricket Southern League.  Currently competing in the Premier division of the league the games are played on Sundays.

The Colt section competes in the Central Essex District Cricket Board League and Cup competitions, as well as usually in the U13 Peter Coe competition and the U16 Matchplay. We currently have an Under 16 team, an Under 15 team, two Under 13 teams, two Under 11 teams, and two Under 9 teams. On top of these we also have an Under 7 section comprising of children aged 5, 6, or 7, which train on Friday evenings under a Pay as You Go style arrangement.

The Girls section play in an Under 13 league competition as well as competing in the Under 16 Girls Matchplay, in which they were runners up in 2012. The girls at the Under 11 squad level play their league cricket with the boys Under 11 teams. As well as these hard cricket ball matches, the Club also has sides in an Under 13 & Under 11 softball cricket competition which is suitable for the beginners within the Girls section.

Training

The adult section train every Tuesday night and we have a few level 2 coaches within the Club that run those nights. The first adult training session of the 2014 season is 15th April at 6.30pm, weather permitting. Adult League Cricket doesn't start until the first weekend in May, but we do have a few friendlies in April.

The club has many CRB vetted coaches and helpers which support the Colts & Girls section training nights. As well as that we also have several level 2 Qualified Coaches. For training nights of the Colt & Girls sections please see their relevant page of this website.
